AUTHOR
American born William Chancellor’s passion for language led him to study English, English as a Foreign Language and German Linguistics, concentrating on Dialectology. Not satisfied with just learning Germanic dialects from afar, he moved to Switzerland where he could study the Middle High German dialect forms of that country and absorb the culture first hand.
The bucolic village life in the Highlands of Zurich in the late 1970s gave rise to the fantasy world of Palanshia. Chancellor’s love for geography and history inspired him to begin his epic story through maps long before any characters were born.
A dedicated plantsman, he also made sketches of fantastic flora, and also fauna, from Palanshia, leading him to develop over thirty Unusual Form Daylilies inspired by the Summerbird Orchids of his books.
Husband of one, father of four, and grandfather of two, he combines all his interests in the magnificent saga of Palanshia.
